Queenstown powerlifter Tim Monigatti placed third in his under-74kg category at the world powerlifting champs in Druskininkai, Lithuania, last week.
The 27-year-old was second in the squat, eighth in the bench press and second in the deadlift.
These were Monigatti’s fifth world champs — in Malta last year he was second in the same category.
